Rain Forest World Music Festival - Day 1

The day consisted of small workshops and performances while beginning at 6pm was performances at the main stage area. The sound was excellent and the lighting brilliant. Plenty of amazing food to sample also.

Drum Up - From the Phillipines

In the afternoon they had the crowd drumming and then people could perform with them in the evening. They had the whole crowd working with them in the evening. Amazing performers

Korrontzi - Basque Country

Music and dance from the Basque Region. Amazing how music and dance can transcend language. the singing was in Basque and the music consisted of accordion and mandolin with a very powerful rhythm section.

Insun Park & Generals - South Korea

A band that mixes traditional Korean music with a modern style. Involves mask dancingĀ  Front woman Insun Park is considered a rarity as very few woman master this music. She was amazing.

Tadan - Sarawak

Famous locally. A large band of 12 performers singing traditional music with a modern jazz fusion.

Benin International Musical - Benin

It is great to hear the sounds of Africa. The percussion was amazing.

Dato'M Nasir

Famous in Malaysia. It was getting a bit late for us old folk so we only stayed a short while.
