June 2026 - Kuching
Kuching is the capital of Sarawak – the Malaysian part of Borneo. The trip was short due to family responsibilities back in Cambodia.
The main purpose of the trip is travel to the Rainforest World Music Festival.
Day 2 was a walk around and getting to see the Orangutans
The last day in Kuching was a visit to Bako National Park
As well walking around Kuching was an interesting thing to do.
Kuching is a great place. So much to see and do.

Kuching is on an estuary. The river front is great at night.
We found a traditional dance show going on
Then we had dinner with local beer and listened to a local performer
The evening ended with a local band. Not a bad first night.
