Prey Sla

Prey Sla is a special place for me. It is my wife’s family village and so visiting there is a lot of family and friends to visit.  It is only 2 hours from Phnom Penh so I will often go there for the weekend.

Everyone I have met in the village has welcomed to their homes and functions. I feel very humbled by the way people often in extreme poverty have made me feel welcome.

The region is primarily a rice growing area hugely dependent on the rainfall. The rainfall is always one of the main topics of conversation.
