Leaving Saigon was haphazard. To keep off the main roads I decided to follow a nice small road alongside a smallish river. Until the river suddenly went underground!  Then it was back into the chaos of the main roads.

I spent the night in Trang Bang. It was the first night where there was no river nearby. The hotel was the Golden Central Hotel. Being back in the country the price was back to $15 for the night for a great room.

I didn’t see much in Trang Bang as it started raining when I arrived. This meant I went to a nearby street restaurant and had an amazing meal. A rice pancake with fresh vegetables and stew.
